Alien Hominid's plot is simple enough to be enjoyable but not enough to be boring or unplayable. Basically, you're an Alien that lands on Earth, then start raising mayhem. The main enemies of the game are FBI guys and soldiers and secret service agents.
But of course, it wouldn't be real mayhem without all kinds of different enemies to face. That's why there are weird bosses and monsters throughout the game. By the time the first version of Alien Hominid appeared in Newgrounds, most of the games on the platform were pretty basic. Full of fighting stickman games and mini versions of real games, it could be repetitive to go through the games available there. Players take over as the titular hominid, who has to fend off waves of secret agents.
